YouTube Personality, Colleen Ballinger Behind Miranda Sings, Counters Allegations of Misconduct in Singing Video
Engaging YouTube's vast viewership with her quirky persona, Miranda Sings, the digital celebrity Colleen Ballinger has publicly spoken out against claims that she engaged in improper relations with underage fans.
In a video upload on Wednesday on her dedicated vlogging channel - Colleen Vlogs on YouTube, Ballinger dismissed the untruths and rumors about her misconduct circulating widely. Interestingly part of her clarifications came through a musical performance as she played a ukulele.
At the start of this rather long 10-minute video feature, she quoted "People are casting allegations at me without authenticity." She further vented, “Regardless of my counsel strongly dissuading me from voicing what I’m about to address now; it suddenly occurred to me they hadn’t mentioned singing."

Around when she started gaining momentum on YouTube platform, Ballinger explained how she messaged fanatics. However, far from being sinister as some imply it was more naïve and friendly attempts to connect or build acquaintanceships. Despite agreeing there had been instances spent discoursing perhaps too openly in messages with fans; she claimed responsibility for changing conduct for the better.
In her tuneful delivery –ballad style- restating this narrative sharply saying “Thought you wanted acknowledgement – accountability / yet your crowd thinks differently/ Focus is tarnishing life reputation you rediculously despise /As you intentionally exaggerate untrue stories while commercially exploiting these fallacies.” Repeatedly chorusing throughout the video using analogy calling false accusations made against herself as "the slanderous chatter express".
Further into her verse-like defenses trying humor added too “I suppose terribly let down by my inadequate rhythmical spiel / You expected total admission guilt & confess I'm wrong / But sorry won't oblige by validating groundless charges strutting around for publicity.”
Insisting only beautification done were pets Persian cats – nothing else - re-emphasized...“I’ve never behaved incorrectly merely uninformed/ it wasn't apt retorting back to followers /Nor am I dangerously harmful though many misconstrue so /It’s just didn’t realize flatulence joke (from five years past era), could harm” reasoning out audibly like poetry.
With rebuttals touching controversial allegations implying personalities displayed appeared offensively childish not suitable for younger audience members; wants everyone clear stating any Miranda Si ngs content produced & shared categorically PG-13, not uploaded on the YouTube Kids application. Additionally emphasized it’s up to guardians to judge what is fitting for their wards.
As NBC News informed its readership, accusations began surfacing about 3 years ago against Ballinger. Citing said report from 2020, Infamous YouTuber - Adam McIntyre published a video sharing personal experiences where he recalls Ballinger instigating unbecoming acquaintance started when aged between 13-16 years claiming these involved a gift – lingerie aimed humorously; and that he’d been entrusted with access to her digital profiles also contributed generating fresh content concepts together not forgetting frequent messaging over extended periods.
Grappling acknowledgements accepting openly in her defensive video feature made past disappointing pranks admitting erroneous judgments but forcefully stating “any manipulative behavior intended? Definitely not.”
While maintaining innocence but expressing remorse stated sincerely “I feel terrible admitting this indeed was without any harmful motives”, she spoke into the camera weathered onlookers expressions softening considerably.
In direct response to her video Twitter post McIntyre disagreed stating “even though my name treated nonchalantly as juke laughing at me in Colleen's revelation video; it did one thing right which is showing ‘everyone what type of an evil woman she truly turns out’, many witness behind the scene theatricals last few years reveal true face...Come meet REAL Colleen Ballinger.”
